 Access to Kuchinoerabu-jima 

To the Kuchinoerabu-jima

You can reach the Kuchinoerabu-jima only through Yakushima.
Kuchinoerabu-jima and Yakushima port are connected by a 1 hr 40 minutes cruise. The ferry boat of 500 tons (Ferry Taiyou) operates at one round-trip a day. Car transport is available.

Please note arrival and departure times as they change depending on an even or odd date.

You can reach to Kuchinoerabu-jima only through Yakushima

To get to the Kuchinoerabu-jima, you must come through Yakushima.

To Yakushima
From large cities in Japan, you can go to Yakushima by air or by sea.
(1) By Air
To Yakushima from Osaka and Fukuoka, there is one flight each and every day.
One hour and 20 minutes from Osaka
One hour and 10 minutes from Fukuoka.



From the other large cities, you can go to Yakushima via Airport.
Kagoshima to Yakushima is a 35-minute flight with five flights between the two places occurring daily.

(2) By Sea
1)Fast ship:
7 daily flights. The journey takes two hours.

2)Daytime Ferry:
Once per day via "the Yakushima-2 ferry". The journey takes 4 hours.

3)Night ferry:
Once at night via "Hibiscus ferry". It leaves for Yakushima at 18:00 from Kagoshima.
